AAU, AACCSA Sign agreement

Addis Ababa University (AAU) and Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (AACCSA) signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) on December 31st, 2018 at the AAU Office of president.

Prof. Tassew W/Hanna, AAU president and w/ro Mesenbet Shenkute, Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (AACCSA) president, signed the agreement on behalves of the two parties. The broad objective of the agreement is to support and contribute for private sector development in Ethiopia.

Prof. Tassew W/Hanna, Addis Ababa University president speaking on the occasion noted that in addition to its teaching-learning activities our University involves in many impactful problem solving and economic based research activities that are important and essential for the development of the country. “Because of its vibrant and strong research out puts the university became well-known research university in Africa,” said Prof. Tassew in statement.

 The signing of this agreement help us work closely, said Prof. Tassew,  explaining his commitment to work in collaboration in the area of training, research, consultancy service and any volunteer activities.

W/ro Mesenbet Shenkute, AACCSA president, on her part said that today’s agreement sets a significant milestone for joint research and other business collaboration; it is therefore, historic day, said the president, that both parties have agreed to collaborate for the success of the nation at large since modernizing the private sector and creating a future oriented global mindset supported by the right values is crucial. “So both parties would synergize recourses and networks, expertise and experiences to create programmers for the innovative education, entrepreneurial leadership, future oriented business models, technology driven management and global business alliances,” she added.

The term of the MOU is five years with extension possibilities.
