AAU President confers with AAiT Academic Staff

Prof. Tassew Woldehanna, Addis Ababa University President, conferred with academic staff of the Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAiT) on May 2, 2018.

Quality education, infrastructure, research and graduate program were top agendas.

The discussion intended to sort out key challenges that exist in the institute and suggest possible solution for the betterment of the university.

Addressing the gathering Prof. Tassew Woldehanna, President, noted that as a technology institute, the role AAiT can play in transforming development agendas underway in the country is multifold especially in technology transformation.

This can be realized, said the president, through offering quality education and producing skilled man power.


 Attendees of the meeting disclosed bottle neck problems of the institute among others office problem, laboratory and chemical supply, classrooms, budget allocation for graduate program and housing for the staff.

Timely and impactful thematic research was also at heart of the discussion.
