Addis Ababa University (AAU) held a consultative meeting and discussed on its autonomous directions with the University Council, Students Council and other concerned bodies at Mandella Hall on the 28^th of March 2023.

The discussion was focused on the reform task forces of Research, Technology Transfer and Community Engagement, Technology Transfer, Innovation and Incubation, Expansion of Infrastructure, Renewal and Maintenance, and Academic Affairs.

The autonomous reform committees conducted various studies and presented the reform ideas in different consultative sessions as the continuation of the ones held ahead of this one. Among the committees’ chairs, Professor Sebsibe Demissew, Professor Zerihun Woldu, BikilaTeklu (PhD) and Mulat Asnake (PhD) presented the main gaps and challenges pointed out so far in each of the key activities listed earlier and missions of AAU, followed by recommendations as well as the way forward. Discussion continued and various concerns were raised for further clarifications.
