Addis Ababa University (AAU) signed four construction and maintenance contractual agreements with different national, private, construction companies through its Institutional Development Office on Thursday, 13 August 2020.

According to the information from Professor Abebe Dinku, Vice President for Institutional Development, AAU has planned one construction and three maintenance projects at a cost of 18 million Birr to be completed within 4-8 months.

Prof Abebe stated that entire compound fence construction agreement was signed to College of Health Sciences (Ziway Campus) with SAF General Construction Contractor at a cost of 5.2 million Birr.

Agreements signed on maintenance issue were sanitary and roofing renovations (OCR building-Main Campus), student lounge sanitary and five dormitory buildings maintenance (College of Veterinary Medicine-Bishoftu Campus), and sanitary restoration (Arat Kilo Post Graduate Campus G+8 Building), added Prof Abebe.

Prof Abebe finally mentioned that AAU has several construction and maintenance projects irrespective of the signed ones under bidding processes to be applied upon the completion.
