AAU, Students Career Development Center (AAU-SCDC) organized training on Leadership for Excellence Service

Addis Ababa University, Students Career Development Center (AAU-SCDC) in collaboration with LITHWS (Let Individual Transformation for a Higher World Solution), Training and Consulting Services Plc. have organized a one day training program on “Self Leadership and Excellence in Service” on November 29, 2019 at Ghion Hotel.

Eskender Kassa, Co-Founder and CEO of LITHWS delivered the training to 23 participants drawn from different colleges of AAU.

The training was on soft skills development which is aimed at improving AAU’s leadership and supporting staff to be enriched with knowledge and skills in self and time management and to know how to lead others successfully.

According to the objectives of the training, discover innate greatness & recognize others, identify widely important goals, personal and institutional success principles, discovering proactive solutions for important goals, how to take responsibility for transformational leadership, developing emotional intelligence and time, thought and life management are the key issues discussed on significant terms.

The training is targeted every staff that is in frequent contacts with students to be competent in soft skills to create conducive work environment and promote their leadership.

Since SCDC’S establishment on 2017 under Deliverology unit of AAU, it attempts to create good environment for the students to receive the necessary skills needed to become a thriving member of the society they live in.

The center plans to enable students to present and demonstrate their competence and making them more demandable to employers.

 In addition, graduates will also have more clarity on their career path and will be in the position to meet the knowledge, skills and attitude requirements of wage employment or self-employment/entrepreneur.

To achieve the above goals AAU signed Memorandum of Understanding with LITHWS Training and Consulting Services Plc on October 29/2019.
