Addis Ababa University signs MoU with Sumy State University

Addis Ababa University (AAU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sumy State University of Ukraine aiming at establishing direct and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of higher education and research setting at the Office of the President of AAU on the 24th of September 2021.

During the meeting, it was mentioned that the two universities have a lot in common and agreeing to work together in areas where they can mutually be benefited will have great importance for planning and realization of joint activities in bringing cultures and experiences of the two countries together.

The Universities agreed on academic exchange of research and teaching staff, mobility of students, research work and professional development; participation in conferences, seminars and workshops; joint publications, joint participation in international grant programs and projects, etc.

The agreement is valid for a period of five years from the date of the final signature and may be renewed for the next five-year period automatically, unless written notice is provided from either University concerning revision or termination of the agreement.

Professor TassewWeldehanna, President of Addis Ababa University and Professor Vasyl D. Karpusha, Rector of Sumy State University, signed the agreement.
