Addis Ababa University is seeking to Select and Appoint Chief Executive Director for College of Health Sciences from its staff members.

        1.Required Qualification and Rank

           PhD holder in Health Sciences/Medical Doctor (Specialty or subspecialty) and four years service.

2. Term of Office

           He/she shall hold office for a period of 3 years with the possibility of reappointment.

3. Eligibility

1. Full-time employment status (i.e. must not be retired, not be enrolled as a student[1], not be a part-time employee); Conflict of Interest (doesn’t own /work in/ private clinic/hospital)
2. Satisfies the required competence and qualification;
3. Has no serious ethical charges, disciplinary measures, etc;
4. All required documentation and technical requirements of the selection and appointment process must be in order’

       4.   Skill, ability and behavioral competence

             The candidate should demonstrate, among others, the following competencies:

• Willingness, readiness, and commitment to support the intended change of the CHS from status quo;

• Demonstrated leadership ability;
• Self-initiated, team-spirited and high ethical standard;
• Good interpersonal communication;
• Willingness to present his/her reform and strategic plan to bring the intended change at CHS;
• Firm belief in equality of gender, ethnicity, diversity and multiculturalism; and transparent and participatory leadership and management.

Interested staff members of the University who fulfill the requirements are invited to fill in an Application form (attached herewith) and submit it with the required credentials to Dr. Yoseph Makonnen at the Office of the President within 15 consecutive workdays of this announcement.
