We are extremely shocked by the tragic news of the passing of  Dr. Kefyalew Tessema ,  a faculty at Meda Walabu University, because of a car accident on 20 May 2023. On behalf of  the  Department of History, Addis Ababa University, I would like to express My condolences  to Dr. Kefyalew’s Family and Friends . Dr. Kefyalew  was a hard working historian who stayed at AAU  doing his PhD research and graduated just two years ago. Many of us here knew him personally and he will be missed a lot.
