IRB training was conducted at AAU
Training for IRB (Institutional Review Board) members was conducted for the first cohort between 27 -29 November, 2019 at Ethiopia hotel. Dr. Mitike, the Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer has remarked the importance of IRB while opening the training and the establishment of IRB at several colleges. She mentioned that this will be the first training and second cohort IRB training will be conducted at the end of January 2020.
The major task of the Board is to assure the ethical conduct of research on human and animal subjects. IRB is not only protecting the human/animal subject but also protects the researchers and the institute at large and enhances the chances of publication of scientific articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
