The Ethiopian Journal of Business and Economics (EJBE) is a peer-reviewed biannual publication of the College of Business and Economics, Addis Ababa University. It seeks to encourage thinking among academics, practitioners and policy makers in the fields of Accounting and Finance, Economics, Business Management, and Public Administration and Development Management (PADM) as well as other related disciplines. The Journal is governed and run by an Advisory Board, Editorial Board, Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor.
The vision of EJBE is to be a high-quality and internationally peer-reviewed journal. It shall provide a forum for the publication of research outputs and promote international exchange of state-of-the-art knowledge and ideas. It shall disseminate current theoretical and empirical work conducted by scholars in leading universities, research institutions and other relevant organizations.
The EJBE strives to facilitate creation and exchange of research in interdisciplinary and specific fields such as business, economics, public administration, commerce, and related fields in social sciences. The EJBE promotes the exchange of ideas, knowledge and best practices. It encourages scholars to inquire and respond to current political, social and economic issues.

The EJBE publishes scholarly articles including:

  • Research papers
  • Master’s thesis and PhD dissertation (abridged versions or chapters)
  • Book reviews
  • Other publishable works

All works submitted for publication pass through a rigorous process of peer and anonymous review to assess their scholarly standard and determine their suitability for publication in the Journal.

Since its inception, the Journal has provided an appropriate forum to stimulate publication in the areas of Business, Economics and Public Administration. In addition, however, it has published different scholarly articles that involve interdisciplinary academic discourse in many other related areas of learning and research. Simply put, although the Journal is an initiative of the College of Business and Economics, academic articles and other publishable works from related disciplines are also welcome.
