Call for research papers on the socio-economic and development consequences of the conflict in Ethiopia

Since the TPLF-triggered war broke out on November 3, 2020 in Ethiopia, it has caused human, economic, environmental, and infrastructural costs in Amhara and Afar regional states. The impacts of the war need to be examined and documented properly. The College of Development Studies (CoDS) and Institute of Development and Policy Research (IDPR), Addis Ababa University, invite researchers to submit their research papers on the socio-economic and development consequences of the conflict in Ethiopia. The research papers shall focus on the following themes:
- Food security, asset losses and livelihoods
- Vulnerabilities and coping strategies
- Economic development impacts and post-war recovery plans
- Infrastructure destruction and its consequences on development
- Gender-based violence, psychosocial trauma and social fabric denudation
- Impacts on the environment and natural resources
- Impacts on institutions: private, public, religious and indigenous
- Unemployment, crimes and crowd behaviors
- Stakeholders coordination and networks in response to the crisis
The articles should be:
- Original and able to stand rigorous double-blind peer-review processes
- Following the Editorial Policy and Language and Style Format of Ethiopian Journal of Development Research(EJDR)
