Brief Biography

 

Dr. Dereje Negussie Woyessa, MD is a consultant vitreoretinal Ophthalmologist at Menilik II Hospital and holds the rank of assistant professor of ophthalmology at the school of medicine, college of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University. Following a medical doctorate degree from Gondar University, he completed residency training in ophthalmology at Addis Ababa University. He then went to sub specialty observer ship training on Vitreoretina and LASER therapy at Pretoria University, Republic of South Africa and LMU in Munich, Germany. Additionally he got phacoemulsification training from Vision care Ethiopia. Since returning to Ethiopia, his practice focused on medical and surgical retinal problems.
