Research interest | Isolation and characterization of potential probiotic lactic acid bacteria (LAB), and yeast from traditional fermented foods/beverages and study their biotechnological applications in lab-scale, pilot-scale and large-scale/industrial scale-productions
Screening of antimicrobial agents and secondary metabolites analysis(Toxins, bioactive compounds, bacteriocin, bacteriocin-like substances) from various sources including fermented foods/local beverages
Improving the traditional fermented foods/beverages via metabolic engineering, optimization of traditional/local fermentations processes, development of fermented products and functional foods
Metabolic engineering of E. coli for the production of fuels and fine chemicals
