Ethiopian Journal of the Social Sciences and Humanities (EJOSSAH) is a multidisciplinary biannual (June and December) Journal of the CSS, AAU that publishes original research articles focusing mainly on the social, political, economic and cultural developments in Ethiopia. It is a blind peer-reviewed Journal in English, and it is open to all interested contributors. Since its launch in 2003, Ethiopian Journal of the Social Sciences and Humanities (EJOSSAH) has been striving to fulfill its core objective of knowledge production and dissemination by continuously publishing research articles in the realm of the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). The journal publishes:

  • Abridged master’s theses and PhD dissertations
  • Book reviews
  • Research papers
  • Short communications

EJOSSAH encourages novel research outputs in multidisciplinary fields emanating from the Social Sciences and Humanities. It calls for the transfer of ideas, knowledge, best practices and learned lessons. It seeks scholars to critically debate on the political, social, cultural and economic issues of our time. It
focuses on researches that bring out not only indigenous knowledge but also views that are relevant to the nation in particular and humanity at large. EJOSSAH promotes experience sharing by Ethiopian and other scholars working in fields related to the Social Sciences and Humanities.
