The objectives of the MSc programme is to train manpower for energy resources development in the field of Energy Technology at Masters level, and conduct applied research to enhance exploitation of renewable energy and conservation of energy resources.

The programme has a total duration of  two years. The first three semesters are dedicated to course work and part of the third semester and the fourth semester are dedicated to thesis work.

MSc Programme

Upon completion of the course work, the graduate students will be engaged in theses that would involve field work, research in a laboratory or/and desk work on a computer.  The theses can be geared so that gradauate student can specialize in areas such as micro hydropower, wind energy, solar energy, socio-economic aspects of energy conversion.  The thesis should have sufficient technical content in it and must be directed to solve energy supply and conservation problems of the country.
