Objective
To produce mathematicians who can work in research institutes,
industries, assist in teaching etc.
- Profile of Graduates
On completion of the program, the graduate shall be able:
- to demonstrate intellectual competency;
- to possess transferable knowledge and skills and articulate
these skills effectively;
- to set up mathematical models, formulate algorithms and
implement them;
- to assist and participate in research;
- to act in ethical manner; and
- to demonstrate environmental, social, cultural and political
awareness.

A major in Mathematics can minor in any one of the following
fields:
- General Education Requirement
A major in Mathematics should take 9 credit
hours of general education courses.
- English Language Requirement
A major in Mathematics should take 3 credit
hours of English Language courses.
- Supportive Course
(Free elective in this context means
a course that the student can choose freely from mathematics
or computer science elective courses in order to fulfill
minimum total credit hours requirement for the B.Sc.
degree.)
