Guidelines for Submission of Papers

Papers submitted for and presented at the 17th International Conference of Ethiopian Studies would be candidates for publication in proceedings for the same. To consider the papers for publication one of the first requirements is to ensure that they are presented in a standardized format. We hope this guideline will help in this regard.

MANUSCRIPT:

  • Line Spacing: Manuscripts should be typed spaced 1.5 on one side of 8.5-11 inch (A4) white paper. Page length will not be more than 35 pages long all in all.

o       Manuscripts can also be sent as computer file by email attachment, or on CD.

  • Margins. Leave a space of one inch on the left and right margins as well as the top and bottom of each page.
  • Page numbering: All pages should be consecutively numbered.
  • Addresses: Author's name, affiliation and complete email and mailing addresses for correspondence should accompany the paper.

NOTES AND REFERENCES:

  • Should be numbered consecutively with superscript Arabic numerals in the text and presented separately at the end of the article.  Notes should be as brief as possible. In the notes, the first citation of a reference material should provide full bibliographic details in the following manner:
