Background about the College of Business and Economics
The College of Business and Economics (CBE) consist of the former Faculty of Business and Economics (established in November 1990) and School of Commerce (established in 1943).
The main office of the College of Business and Economics is locatedat the Old “Crown Prince’s” compound at Sidist Kilo, popularly known as FBE .found at Addis Ababa, Gulele Sub-City, Woreda 01 and 02.
Since its inception, the College of Business and Economics of the Addis Ababa University has contributed tremendously in the area of business and finance, economics and Public Administration. It has been instrumental in supplying highly qualified professionalsto the government, academic, private and civil society organizations in main streams that include Accounting & Finance, Economics, Management, Public Administration and Commerce. The graduates of the college are working within and outside the country in different governmental, private, non-governmental, and international organizations at different capacities such as experts, policy makers and practitioners, top executive officers, and middle level managers. The college is committed to serve professional and academic needs of the present and future generations.
To meet the commitments mentioned above, the college is running various undergraduate and post graduate programs (MA, MSC and PhD).
The College at present comprises of one school and four departments viz.

• Department of Public Admin and Development Management

School of Commerce
The School of Commerce comprises six program units namely:

• Marketing Management
• Procurement and Supply Management
