Through its two programs, the MA and PhD programs in Foreign Literature, the department strives to accept students having interest in the subject and nurture them to develop a comprehensive grasp of the different aspects of the field. It gears students towards becoming conscious individuals who can not only serve as rich resources where literature is concerned, but also citizens who extract the utmost benefits literature has to offer to society. The department works towards transforming students into theoretically and practically adept literary figure learners .
