For admission at FU Berlin applicants from Ethiopia should apply via the Addis Ababa University (AAU), from Kenya via the University of Nairobi (UoN), from Uganda via the Makerere University (MAK), and from Sudan via the University of Khartoum (UofK) or the Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST) for admission. Other applicants choose one of the Partner Universities to apply through.

These partner universities then provide the admission commission of the Freie Universität Berlin with listings of suitable candidates. Selection procedure should be in line with the respective university regulations while considering the above listed aspects.

For the duration of the Master Course in Transboundary Animal Disease Management (MTADM), students must be matriculated /enrolled at both the Freie Universität Berlin and the Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, as well as at the respective partner universities in the Eastern African region (i.e. Mak or UofK or SUST or UoN).
