The college is one of the colleges of Sudan University of Science and Technology which provides all the labor market with qualified and trained cadres in the field of veterinary medicine, animal production science and fishery science and wildlife.

 

The vision of the college is to develop veterinary, livestock production, wild life and fisheries education through provision of high quality learning environment, improvement of the academic programme and enhancement of practical skills aiming to reach a recognizable international standards. The college will also act as a center of excellence in line with veterinary sciences, animal production, wild life and fisheries.

 

The missions of the college are to provide professional graduates either they will be working for education or as veterinarians,and scientists in animal production, wild life and fisheries and other biological scientists, at the diploma, bachelor, master, and doctoral levels; to attain leadership in teaching and extending education and consultative services in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases in domestic and wild life, as well as livestock production and fisheries; to carry out high quality research in veterinary services, wild life, clinical and biomedical sciences, livestock production and in public health and environmental health.

 

The college has the following facilities: veterinary diagnostics, virology lab, microbiology lab, physiology lab, veterinary surgery lab, dissection room parasitology lab, ultra-sound and X-ray facilities, general chemistry lab, computer lab, milk technology lab, meat technology lab, botany lab, nutrition lab and biochemistry lab.
