AAU Libraries trained the postgraduate and researchers on Elsevier product

 Addis Ababa University Libraries held a half day special training for graduate student and researchers on enhancing research capabilities using Elsevier Research solution such as Scopus, Science Direct and Mendely  in collaboration with Addis Ababa Universities and Elsevier on October 18, 2019 @ John F. Kennedy Memorial Libraries.

The training aimed at increasing the Research work capabilities of  AAU Graduate students and researchers beside, the usage of different research methodology and  Research Management Software such as Scopus, Science Direct and Mendeley – Some of Elsevier’s products that the AAU Libraries subscribed since 2016 in order to facilitate teaching-learning process and research activities of Addis Ababa University. 

Khalid Shalan, Elsevier’s customer consultant delivered the training. Science Direct is Elsevier’s leading information solution for researchers, teachers, students, health care professionals and information professionals.

Similarly, Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyses and visualize research.

Mendeley, on the other hand, is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you to organize your research, collaborate with others online and discover the latest research.

Elsevier provides web-based, digital solutions and publishes over 2,000 journals and more than 33,000 book titles, including a number of iconic reference works.
