The circulation department is the frontline of the library system, where the library resources are channeled directly to the community. The University libraries have been circulating books, bound journals and other library materials with the exception of materials that are put on reserve and reference materials.

The circulation department tried different book loan system such as signing on book cards, multiple book charging system where users fill out a multi copied form which enabled the circulation department to retain a copy.
