Office of Anti-corruption and Ethics organizes Question and Answer Competition

Addis Ababa University (AAU), Office of Anti-corruption and Ethics organized Question and Answer competition among students of different Colleges of AAU in collaboration with the Federal Commission for Anti- corruption and Ethics (FCACE) at Nelson Mandela Hall on the 20th of April 2021.

The competition was designed as a preset of the 20th year anniversary of FCACE to be commemorated in the near future, and the commencement it rendered to accountably serve the society throughout its endeavor.

This first round competition intends to select two students (from both sexes) to represent AAU in the competition to be held among National Universities of the country in the celebration day of the anniversary.

According to W/ro Mamaye Worku, from AAU Office of Anti-corruption and Ethics, the competition is initiated by the Commission and her Office is given a mandate to assign educational experts and manage the completion being coordinated with them.

Addis Ababa University Ethics and Anti–corruption Directorate was established based on Proclamation No 144/2000 in July 1995 with the consent of the council of Ministers of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with overall duty of coordinating ethical issues and advising the president on such matters.

The Directorate has a mission to work in cooperation with relevant bodies to ensure transparency and accountability in Addis Ababa University by promoting anti- corruption education; preventing corruption and impropriety, reporting corruption offences to the president and federal Ethics and anti- corruption commission.

The Directorate in general recognizes and commits itself toward the pursuit of the vision, mission and value of the university.
