Establishment

The Addis Ababa University Press was established in 1967. The titles of its publications have steadily increased and diversified since then.

Vision: To become a center of excellence in publishing academic literature in Ethiopia, and to compete with renownedacademic publishing houses internationally.

Mission: The main mission of AAU Press is to serve the publication and distribution needs of the Addis Ababa University community. It further strives to publish textbooks and high quality academic literature for Universities and higher learning institutions in Ethiopia.

Organization: The Addis Ababa University Press is governed by a Board of Editors and managed by the secretariat which is headed by a Director.
